Welcome back! Visit your Grade's page soon for more specific information.
It's hard to believe the new school year is upon us! If you have found your way here, then you have wound up on my roster for the 2016-2017 year. I am so excited to get to know my new families!
This site will be loaded with grade level information for you soon, but until then, know the following:
I'm not a new teacher at CMS. In fact, I've been in the building since it opened. My husband Scott and I live in McKinney with our two two boys. Brayden is an 8th grader this year, and Riley will be a freshman at North. I have the honor of knowing Cockrill from both a parent's view and a teacher's view. I couldn't be happier with either perspective. This is such a great campus!
Meet the teacher night is now during the day! Come and say hello to me from 4:30-6:30 Tuesday, 8/16. I sincerely look forward to meeting everyone and putting faces with names!
As you are out shopping for school supplies, consider donating to our classrooms. At this point, if I show my face again at a local office supply store, I'll likely be run off for exceeding the purchase limits! These are the best prices of the year, so if you find a killer sale on anything, please consider sending something our way. We'll be forever grateful!
We are need of the following items:
You can bring your donations to meet the teacher night or send them the first week of school. As for your kiddo, he/she will need two composition notebooks (college ruled) and a 1 inch binder. Each grade will also need to purchase class novels. Look for those titles to come home soon!
Lastly, we need magazines! Warning: You won't be getting them back. We cut them to shreds during our poetry units. Send them in ASAP!
Thank you for sending me your kiddos each and every day!
